About

Lady Laughs Comedy emerged from the womb of the mother of comedy in Madison, WI and was founded by Dina Nina Martinez-Rutherford, the trailblazing transgender woman who was called “Very Funny!” by James Corden. In the time that Lady Laughs has been in business, it quickly expanded to incorporate women and queer comics not only in Wisconsin, but across the globe through tours, shows, festivals, podcasts, open mics, and more.

Lady Laughs Comedy is excited to bring intentional spaces that prioritize and highlight the talents of women and queer comics in the Philadelphia area to build on the wonderful work that women and queer comics have already been doing in this city.
